Marlin has been my main mount since October 2022, and from the start, he’s proven he’s the real deal. In our very first major run together, he placed 11th at the Permit Finals in November 2022. By summer 2023, he was ready for the rodeo road and didn’t disappoint—holding his own against top competition and taking 2nd at the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo.

After a well-earned break, he came back stronger than ever, winning the Bryan Pro Rodeo and clinching the 1D buckle series at Lightning Bar Arena. Marlin is a consistent 1D/2D horse, always just a few tenths off placing at pro rodeos. Even when my friend ran him for fun, he placed 14th in the 2D out of 250+ entries—showing he’s got the speed and versatility for any rider.

He runs on guanabenz, gets his hocks, back, and coffins injected every six months, and wears aluminum front shoes with rim shoes on the back for peak performance. I know everything about this horse from the day he was born to every owner he’s had, and he continues to prove why he’s special every time he steps in the arena.
