Marlin has been my main mount since October 2022, and from day one, he’s proven he’s the real deal. In our very first major run together, he placed 11th at the Permit Finals (November 2022). By summer 2023, he was ready for the rodeo road—taking 2nd at the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo—and holding his own against top competition. After a well-earned break, he came back stronger than ever, winning the Bryan Pro Rodeo and clinching the 1D buckle series at Lightning Bar Arena. He is a consistent 1D/2D horse, often just a few tenths off placing at pro rodeos, and has proven he can clock for multiple riders.

That said—Marlin is not for the faint of heart. He is strong and powerful, and he needs a rider who can keep him soft during the week and not just lope circles. He requires maintenance, which I will gladly discuss with serious buyers. The right person will either be experienced enough to handle a horse of his caliber or willing to stay in consistent lessons with me to keep him tuned.

This horse is kind, quiet, and easy to be around—super sweet on the ground, easy to catch, stands tied all day, loads and hauls great, and handles long hauls and the pro rodeo atmosphere like a veteran. He’s an easy keeper and thrives with a program that matches his ability.

Marlin is a ready-to-go rodeo horse with the speed, heart, and grit to keep winning. I will be picky about where he goes because horses like him don’t come around often.
